2001
Josh Topper purchased 35 Acres of vacant land, Northwest of Spooner, WI
2006
Land clearing began in the spring, and by November the shop building was put up. The new shop consisted of 2000 SqFt of shop space and an 850 SqFt apartment/office. Josh Topper began bringing in equipment and tooling for the eventual start of his own shop.
2012
Topper Machine was formed and officially launched on May 1st, 2012 as a sole proprietor. Our first customers were a construction equipment OEM and a Shortline Railroad. More equipment was purchased to support these first customers.
2014
An addition was put onto the original shop to add another 900 SqFt. of welding shop space. More welding and fabrication equipment was purchased for this expansion. We picked up a few new customers in the building products and forest products industries.
2016
The apartment was fully converted to an office and storage area for tooling and inspection equipment. A new house was constructed on the property.
2020
On December 1st, the Topper Machine LLC YouTube channel was created. The channel was created as a marketing tool and had brought in many new customers.
2021
Topper Machine LLC was officially launched on January 1st, due to landing some new customers and contracts. Many new machines were acquired to facilitate this growth.
2022
Topper Machine LLC hires its first employee through the Youth Apprenticeship Program. The program works with high school students to help them get into the trades. This program will help us pass on knowledge and continue on our growth to better serve our customers.
